Ever since I was a little girl I've had very thick hair. Now that I'm a little older it is easier to appreciate it, but back then it was nothing but a nuisance to me. I just wanted it to get out of the way. However, when styling it now, it does come in handy. When looking at pictures of me when I was about two years old, you'd be baffled by the way my hair has changed.
After weeks filled with stress and exams I'm finally back. The past few weeks have been very stressful as I had my first exam week last week. I think it went fine, but we'll see the results in the coming period. Anyways. I've had a serious obsession with shoes ever since I can remember. However, due to my outrageous spendings on useless stuff I don't always have the money to buy the shoes I like straight away. Luckily I've been able to cut back on my spendings as much as possible this month in order to splurge on shoes. Now that I have bought the two shoes I've wanted for a very long time, I can move on with my life again. The city of love is where I spent one day in the two weeks I was in France. We woke up extra early to get a glimpse of as much as possible in just one day. Oh how naive we were, in the end we managed to visit the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Élysées. Although, I must admit we were a tad slow with all the walking as we were with a group of eight people. After a one hour drive, we saw the signs saying 'Paris' on the highroad. I was very excited as I have been in Paris only once when I was about six years old. First thing we had to get rid of the cars as it is almost impossible to drive around in a car from spot to spot due to the big amount of people. Once we got the cars parked we warked to the subway. When I saw a map of the whole subway system I was amazed. The system was so big and there were so many lines. It was crazy. After about twelve stops the subway arrived at the stop of the Eiffel Tower. The subway was filled with people, most of them tourists. I loved how we were in Paris, but all I could hear were different languages. German, English, Spanish I loved how there were so many different people in one city. As we were walking towards the Eiffel Tower I could see its summit stand out above the small buildings. I was very excited when I saw it, as there were so many people standing underneath it, waiting to go up. We wanted to go up, but the lines were so long which would give us very little time to visit the rest. So we decided not to go up, but to picknick on the little field in front of (or behind) the Eiffel Tower. We had brought some sandwiches which were delicious. After this we started walking towards the Arc d'Thriomphe. Before we could reach it we walked passed the Champs-Élysées and spent some time here. In my previous post I did a haul on what I bought there. After having spent some time in the shops we took the subway to the parking lot and drove back to the peaceful, quiet village.
Besides all the clothes I bought, I also found some amazing beauty products while in France. When I went to Paris (I will post a separate post on that day) we visited the biggest shopping street I had ever seen: Champs-Élysées. Oh my god, when we started on this I had to take a breath and process the view I had at that moment. Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to visit all the shops, but I used my time and went in some shops. The sale was CRAZY, I bought some awesome stuff for great deals. Besides Paris, I also went shopping in Montargis (a town near Paucourt). France had some great sales going on at that moment so I arrived at the good moment. While in France we visited some small villages and one bigger village near my uncle's house. He lives in Paucourt and has a dear familyfriend living in Busseau, a village near the place he used to live, called Nemours (which we also visited). While there, I took some pictures I would like to share as I really loved how they turned out. The French landscape is simply stunning and the sunsets are amazing there. Enjoy the pictures. (I took all of these with my iPhone 5s, I used the 'chrome' filter on some pics). Being one of the kids who had never been to Disneyland, this was one of my wishes when going to France. My sweet aunt was as nice to book tickets for Disneyland and we went there! After a two hour drive (and many many traffic jams) we had finally arrived in Disneyland! I felt like a little child when I saw the signs. Once in there I went a little crazy and bought some souveniers (Disneyland is crazy expensive!). First of all I bought myself a big mug with crazy Tiger on it. Here you see me awkwardly modelling for you. After a two week holiday in France I can say that France is the place to be.
In the two weeks I was there I stayed at my uncle's, who lives in a small village called Paucourt. This village counts only 892 inhabitants and is filled with beautiful houses and a lot of nature. For me, I saw this as a great opportunity to take pictures of my surroundings and the amazing and breathtaking nature. After this post, a series of blog posts will follow in which I will upload pictures I took in France. In addition, in every post I will talk about my day and what I did. Sit back and enjoy my French adventure. |
